You don't keep anyone up to date, because you are an idiot.

-Colby Cosh
At the time we made the statement you quoted, that statement was
credible as a prediction modelled on the facts at that time.
Jeesh. In that case, why bother to post your predictions at all? Or why
not post predictions every ten minutes of every game? "Since Montreal
scored first in game x, we predict they will continue to score without
resistance and therefore win the Stanley Cup"? Just as meaningful. That
is, not at all.
We like to keep people up to date. If we didn't post and inform
people which teams are the best at any given time, many posters,
especially in the ngs of American teams, wouldn't know which teams
are playing well and which teams are not. The standings are not
enough to tell you this, and yet many people, Americans especially,
cannot judge a team except by the score of its last game, and its
place in the standings.
You should be thanking us for coming in to this ng and keeping you
guys clued in.
Hasek
Perreault
Gare
Schoenfeld
Lafontaine
Rick Dudley was a damned good player as well. Perreault was a joy
to watch and he had moves as good as Mario. Hasek was, and remains,
one of the most exciting goalies in the history of hockey.
Ironically, the only goalie more exciting also played for Buffalo.
We'll leave his identity as a quiz for you little American fellows
who think you know hockey.
cordially, as always,
rm
